Training & Inductions

Track staff onboarding, mandatory training, and certification requirements to support compliance and professional development oversight.

Create a Training or Induction Course

Feature only available to Admin users
  1. Go to Training & Induction.

  2. Click Create Course.

  3. The Create Training Induction Form will appear.

Complete Course Details

Fill in the following required fields:

  • Course Title

  • Completed by Date

  • Accredited Hours

  • Passing Percentage

  • Category - A dropdown option (created in settings, only Admins can create this)

  • Reason - A dropdown option (created in settings, only Admins can create this)

How Do I Set Completion Messages?
  • Successful completion message → Type the message users will see if they pass.

  • Unsuccessful completion message → Type the message users will see if they fail.

Set Course Categories

Feature only available to Admin users

Navigate to Training & Induction from the side menu.

  1. Go to Settings → Category.

  2. Click Add Category and enter a name for your new category.

  3. Select Save. The new category will now appear in the table under the Category tab in Settings.

Tip: Categories are a great way to group courses into specific training types, making them easier to organise and find.

  • To edit a category, click the green pencil icon.

  • To delete a category, click the red bin icon.

Set Course Permissions

Feature only available to Admin users

Navigate to Training & Induction from the side menu. 

  1. Go to Settings → Permissions.

  2. Click Add Staff.

  3. Select the staff member from the dropdown list.

  4. Choose a role from the dropdown (e.g., Admin).

  5. Click Save – the staff member will now appear in your Permissions tab. 

  6. To remove a staff member, click the red bin icon next to their name.

Set Course Reasons

Feature only available to Admin users

Navigate to Training & Induction from the side menu.

  1. Navigate to Settings → Reason.

  2. Click Add Reason.

  3. Enter the reason (e.g., Onboarding, Compliance, Annual Refresher).

  4. Click Save. The new reason will now appear in the table under the Reason tab in Settings.

Tip: Reasons explain why a course is being created, helping to keep training clear and purposeful.

  • To edit a reason, click the green pencil icon.

  • To delete a reason, click the red bin icon.

Set Course Pass Marks

Feature only available to Admin users
Mark Allocation Field
  • Required for every question.

  • Must be a number > 0.

  • Defines how many marks the question is worth.

Passing Percentage
  • Enter a value between 0 and 100.

  • This sets the percentage learners must reach (or exceed) to pass.

Pass/Fail Calculation
  1. Add the total possible marks for all questions (TW).

  2. Add the total marks achieved by the user (TC).

  3. Use the formula below:

(TC ÷ TW) × 100
(TC ÷ TW) × 100
(TC ÷ TW) × 100

Example:

  • Total possible marks (TW) = 9

  • User achieved (TC) = 7.6

(7.6 ÷ 9) × 100 = 84.4
(7.6 ÷ 9) × 100 = 84.4
(7.6 ÷ 9) × 100 = 84.4

Pass Marks


If 84.4% >

Pass

Otherwise 84.4% <

Fail

Training & Induction Settings

Feature only available to Admin users

Before creating any training or induction course, the Settings section must be configured. This ensures the correct data is available when creating courses. 

The settings available to customise your Training & Induction courses include: 

  • Permissions

  • Category

  • Reason
